A charming and practical example of early 20th-century Scottish country furniture, made of solid dark oak with coveted barley twist legs. Ideal for cottage, smaller dining room, or hallway.
Original waxed finish showing 100 years of gentle use. Solid plank construction with hand-made dovetailed drawers. Open three-tier plate rack with a shaped ,arched cornice top, all supported by a slender barley twist uprights that gives this piece its distinctive character.
Asymmetrical front typical of Scottish vernacular dressers. Left side features a bank of three stacked drawers with metal handles. Right side has a single cupboard door with fielded panel, opening to reveal one fixed interior shelf for linens or larger serving plates.
